Once again there were bold claims in the sales flyer, a former Window Cleaner claimed the code had been cracked and a secret loophole had been magically discovered allowing tax free earnings of £50-£100 every single day and from a small starting bank of £50.

The Betting Black Box system had arrived in my inbox recently as my next review project and is indeed refreshing to find that although it was a horse racing lay system, it was indeed very different from a previous one I had reviewed earlier.

Whereas the other system required the user to be at the PC for long periods, the Betting Black Box did not require such attention. Selections could be made in a matter of twenty minutes or so and any bets could be placed prior to the commencement of the racing.

Written by The Betting Black Box Team the manual came in a 50 page download and in the usual PDF format. I’ve not yet had the experience of reading a manual without some ‘padding’ or other and this manual proved to be no different. In the main it was quite well written with clear and concise picture presentation boxes from Betfair and The Racing Post and were used widely as working examples.

By pages 9/10 we were immersed in the concepts and rules of the system and any thoughts of earlier claims to discovered loopholes were very quickly dispelled. It is actually just a logical concept of the Betfair horse racing markets and four main rules when applied, that make The Betting Black Box system ‘come alive’ with implemented strategies.

Page 28 provided us with a good progressive staking plan which when applied displays the stake without any further need for long and arduous calculations. I scrutinised pages 30-50 at some length and although they may have been of some value to the inexperienced, many punters would want to ‘ship’ these unnecessary pages to the nearest waste disposal bin.

Otherwise the manual was very informative and well presented. The system comes at a cost to the punter and involves shelling out a one off fee of £27 but carries a risk free guarantee of sixty days should it fail to make a profit.

Conclusion.

The very name The Betting Black Box system conjures up much in the frailties of the imagination and certainly reminds one of the uses of the Black Box in an average aircraft situation. However it’s far removed from the truth as one easily discovers, and if you are left searching for a consistent way to make money you can do worse than obtain a copy of The Betting Black Box. I feel that it will point you in the right direction. It takes a little time to acquaint oneself with the strategies and implementation of such, but once mastered, the way forward is clear to a projected run of lay winners. It boasts a very well written and illustrated manual and with the ‘unwanted’ removed, is one of the best I have encountered.

RATING 5/5 Great system and therefore merits top marks.

Just a quick update on Betting Black Box and the reverse method to find winners.

The author does state in his book that certain selections are ruled out, as it is possible that they may win the race and this is proving to be the case.

By not meeting the criteria, I mean that

(1) They have won by more than the distance expected in their last race (according to the system rules)

(2) Not been penalised excessively (i.e. not gone up in the weights or not by enough weight according to the system)

(3) Are running in a lower class race

Not all of the above criteria have to be met, but here are some results for using the Betting Black Box in reverse!

Sat 28/11

Ling 1.10 Spinning Bailiwick Won 4/5

Towc 3.05 Ayamdee Won 7/4

Mon 30/11

Fake 1.50 Petroglyph Won 11/4

Fake 2.20 I’moncloudnine 2nd 2/1

Folks 2.30 Natural Action Won 85/40 (I got 4.1 on Betfair for this horse as it was a big drifter in the market!!)

A level stake profit of +6.43 points (at SP) and remember this is in addition to the normal “lay” strategy horses, certainly something worth thinking about!

(I was out all day Sunday, hence the gap in days!)

This is and will be one of the easiest reviews I have done. 16 points profit on a lay system with 2 to 3 qalifyers a day, normally one final selection and 3 losing bets throughout the 30 day period. A 90% strike rate and reasonable low liability at about 9/2 with me adding a 20 percent overround on losing bets and deducting 5 percent commission.

points profit or loss to date + 16.06

A simple lay system, with a completely logical criteria giving you confidence in the methodology. Reading the system and understanding it was easy and finding selections takes 5 to 10 minutes a day. Selections can be accessed either on the day or the night before, although to be safe, you do need to wait till nearer the off to place lays because selections can drop out if there are non runners and prices change and selections can qualify in races the initially did not qualify. To be fair though I have not had selections qualify that first failed and only two races taking the qualifyers below the minimum runner criteria.

One word of caution lay systems are prone to long periods of losers and it only takes 3 or 4 losing bets to wipe you out. That said I was able to do some back checking and did two separate months. This took quite a time but it did confirm the same level of consistency and gave me some more confidence in the system.

5 to 10 percent returns on lay systems is good, therefore, to achieve nearly 50 percent ROI is stunning and if this system mirrors this going forward is definitely one to have in the portfolio. It is too soon to identify the best staking plan for this system but a managed loss recovery system would look to be a good idea. I would recommend this sort of system be tested for six months.

Rating: 5/5 An easy to use solid performer and definetely one of the better laying systems out there.

Once in a while a system comes along that has every muscle, nerve, and sine reacting in a distinct twitch of nervous excitement. That was just how it was when I received my copy of The Underground Punter. Written by Liam Sherwood it came in the usual PDF format and contained a rather lengthy 58 pages …… a reader’s nightmare! It seems to be one of those things for budding system authors to continually stuff otherwise practical manuals with so much unnecessary padding, that it borders on the unbelievable, leaving the reader amid the ashes of what might have been.

However it was not all bad news in this respect, page four presented us with a well defined Contents sheet, setting out clearly that which was still to come, in true fashion of a ghost from A Christmas Carol’s Future! In these early pages of the manual, there was the same old tedium of what most punters already know.Setting yourself up, Spread Betting risks, In Play betting, along with directions to streaming sites should one wish to view matches. There was even pages devoted to the fundamentals of football, and explanations on Leverage betting and how it works. The boredom was somewhat relieved by page 33 when we started getting to the very heart of the system.

In Play betting and Reviewing the Markets were pleasantly interesting, and finally led to a pathway Tying it All together. Once again I found an unnecessary need for further ‘padded pages’ at pages 41-52 which proceeded to give details of how the system had performed in a certain division for season 2008. With this ‘waffle’ removed, the manual was concise and very informative. The system itself does not involve lengthy researching from online form guides and their like and It does not even require it’s users to have prior knowledge and experience.

It tends to make money using a couple of stats and techniques that have been proven over time to be pretty reliable. Without wishing to divulge the exact workings of the system and to protect the author’s best interests, it is a system involving Spread Betting on soccer matches and bets can be placed at a certain stage within the qualifying matches. Selections therefore qualify at a pre determined scorecast within each of the framework of the soccer league structure.

So just how does The Underground Punter measure up to its competitors in today’s marketplace?

During my monitoring of this system, there were 15 winning bets with only 7 losers, and it still managed to yield a winning 68.18% combination, and produced an eye catching and breath taking 99 points profit. Apparently this system effects exactly what it states on the tin with an added advantage of exercising low stakes, high profits with low risk levels and tailor made for those who work 9am till 5pm.

Time spent placing bets is at an absolute premium, and a distinct advantage too is that time spent at the computer is kept to an absolute minimum. It looks consistent in its earning capacity at this early stage and the methodology employed within the system really does the business. Is this The Holy Grail we have all been looking for?

The race specialist laying system was written by Betfair accredited trainer Jonathan Burgess who also wrote the highly successful system False Favourites which was awarded a top rating of 5 stars from myself and is one of the few systems to maintain the rating.

Over a year ago now Jonathan told me about the Race Specialist laying system that he had developed. He clearly stated that he would not release the system to the general public until he was 100% happy with the system and true to his word he never did until now which is a true testament to his commitment in producing top class betting systems.

I have been privileged to view the system pre-release and proof the results on the website and I can verify these are 100% correct.

So whats the difference between False Favourites and the new Race Specialist system?

They are similar from a form perspective and are both based around logical racing fundamentals.

Both are also designed to help punters reach a higher level of skill with regards to learning about racing and choosing sections. To coin a tedious cliche` “knowledge is power” but very true.

False Favourites is a solid form based selection process based around years of logical racing stats that point the user in the right area for identifying horses that will struggle to win because they are racing outside favoured conditions. Combined with the core principles of good money management and and a good understanding of how Betfair racing markets actually work.

Racing Specialist is a solid form based selection process based around years of logical racing factors that point the user in the right area to identify horses that are likely to run well but fail to win, because they are COMPETING IN EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE RACES, often racing outside their favoured conditions.

The methodology is to show system users which races to get involved with and how to obtain maximum value on every bet, so when a loser is struck the liability is minimal. Clever staking and pro – bet execution techniques are taught to help everyone get the very best out there individual betting. Racing Specialist contains many pro tips and tutorials which increase the users knowledge of lay betting and horse racing in a – responsible, honest, realistic way.

The whole concept is based around value, so even when the odd winner is hit, there is no massive swings in emotions. Betting within a comfort zone is one of the key ingredients to becoming successful with lay betting.

Successful betting is not only based around knowledge, <ins datetime="2008-11-04T17:11" cite="mailto:Nemo"></ins><del datetime="2008-11-04T17:11" cite="mailto:Nemo"></del>but also confidence, if <del datetime="2008-11-02T10:43" cite="mailto:Nemo"></del><ins datetime="2008-11-02T10:43" cite="mailto:Nemo"></ins><ins datetime="2008-11-02T10:43" cite="mailto:Nemo"></ins><del datetime="2008-11-02T10:43" cite="mailto:Nemo"></del>you are fearful of losing too much money each time you place a bet you will never gain any. Your betting is likely to be an uncomfortable and often loathsome experience.

If you already lay horses or wish to profit from doing so then I can’t stress enough that you need a copy of Race Specialist in your portfolio.

Jonathan Burgess is one of the very few genuine system sellers around and Race Specialist only endorses this fact even further.

Rating 5/5 – Highly recommended. The system works both short and long term without fail and in my opinion is one of the best genuine systems available.

I got hold of a copy of the quick on the draw system a few months ago and was instantly impressed by the simplicity of the system itself and the past results which I back checked and verified as being 100% honest and correct.

The system itself is based around backing three horses in qualifying races that meet the criteria required to become a selection.

There are no grey areas or price restrictions and everybody will always find the same selections the evening before racing takes place. All selections are backed to win using level stakes and bets can be placed at anytime before the race takes place making it excellent for those who work 9-5 hours.

This really is simple to operate and no racing knowledge is required as the instructions are fool proof.

Previous results can be found on the website and as I said before they are 100% honest and correct.

I put the system to the test myself and from the 28th March 2009 until the 23rd June 2009 inclusive there were 7 winners found in 16 qualifying races.

The winning Betfair SP odds were: 19.22, 14.62, 8.36, 7.10, 7.04, 5.97 & 4.05

The overall PROFIT was: + £180.02 placing £10 to win on each selection advised at Betfair SP and deducting 5% commision from winning bets.

Rating 5/5 – Highly recommended. The system works both short and long term without fail and in my opinion is one of the best genuine systems available.

Punter Profits is a private community focusing on UK horse racing and sports betting.

The Punter Profits National Hunt System Portfolio is the result of a betting brain storming session in the Punter Profits Full member area. Dave and the knowledgeable punters within the membership combined to develop not one but a collection of six selection methods that research indicates to have produced profits year in year out since 1991.

Full members receive any NH System Portfolio qualifiers in an email around noon each day for a modest subscription fee. Full membership will also give you access to a huge resource of information and other profitable systems etc…

Each system is profitable in it’s own right and the results have been independently verified by myself and many other well respected sources.

Full Results Breakdown

From the 16th November 1991 until the 13th April 2009 inclusive the results were as follows:

Number of selections
5041

Winners
1989

Strike Rate
39.5%

Profit at 1 point level stakes SP
876

Profit at £100 win per selection
£87,600

Profit on Turnover
17.4%

The above profits could have been increased by around 40% by placing your bets on the online exchanges or with Centrebet who offer a SP+ option when placing bets.

The average odds of all selections is around 3/1!

Double Tipped Selections

Double Tipped selections are horses that have qualified under more than one of the systems in the portfolio. The selections are less frequent but the strike rate is significantly increased as is the profit on turnover as shown below:

Number of selections
472

Winners
219

Strike Rate
46.4%

Profit at 1 point level stakes SP
107

Profit at £100 win per selection
£10,700

Profit on Turnover
22.7%

A Microsoft excel spreadsheet with a full breakdown of results so far can be found by Clicking Here

Making it Pay

The great thing about having six winning systems is that you can decide exactly how to use the selections to suit your own style of betting.

It is clear to see that backing every system selection to win using level stakes will make you massive long-term profits and this is the approach I personally follow. You will get losing runs (the longest is 17) and for this reason a bank of 50 points is required.

You may wish to just back the double tipped selections as shown above or you may wish to just back the selections from systems E & F which return the greatest profit on turnover.

Another popular method used by many is to exclude any selections with an SP of 2/1 and under. This reduces the number of selections by almost halve and the strike rate dips to around 25% but in turn the profit on turnover increases significantly.

If you use the staking machine software you can import all the raw selection data below:

NH-Dated-TSM is all data upto 23rd March 2009.

Summary

With 17 full years of results and over 5000 individual selections to base my review on it is fair to say the NH portfolio has been a huge success and will continue to be in the future. What I love about this service is the fact there is no trashy sales page or hard sell. The service just sits under the radar and let’s the results speak for themselves.

Whatever method you choose to follow you simply cannot fail to profit long term backing the punter profits NH portfolio system selections.

Rating 5/5 – Highly recommended. The system works both short and long term without fail and in my opinion is one of the best genuine systems available.

The Staking Machine or TSM for short, is a professional sports betting tool to assist with money management. This is an excellent piece of software that will not only analyse your past bets but will keep track of your current bets making it ideal for those of you who struggle with discipline in there betting endeavours.

Keeping track of your bets is essential and when you use TSM it really becomes very simple to do.

You basically enter your selections into the software and it will quickly calculate your stakes and keep track of your betting profit/loss figures.

If your serious about your betting then this software is an absolute must have as it will no doubt improve the returns from your existing betting using the many staking plans included which are as follows:

The staking machine software has 17 Back Staking Plans including Level, 1326, D’alembert,Fibonacci, Percentage, Parlay, Pro, Secure, Fixed, Kelly, Square Root, Labouchere, Retirement, Bookies Bank, the infinite settings of XYZ, Up X Down Y and finally L.P.28.

The staking machine software also has 13 Lay Staking Plans including Lay Level, Fixed Liability, Mixed,Percentage Liability, Lay Percentage, Maria, Lay Ladder, Lay Kelly, Lay 1-4, Lay HiPro86 SP4, Lay % Recovery, Lay Labouchere and Lay XYZ.

The staking machine software also has 2 Each Way Staking Plans – E/W Level, EW Combined and many more to be added.

As you can see, the well known plans are all covered, and many others you have probably never seen before, but they are all explained on the site, and you soon get the hang of how they work. New plans and features are added on a regular basis and come free of charge for one year.

TSM’s Bankruptcy Test is used to analyse the viability of a staking plan that you select. Each of your staking plans is analysed for return on investment potential, cumulative profits, and odds frequency. The graph feature allows you to look at all the analysed results in an easy-to-read graph format. You will clearly see which staking plans make the most profits at a glance.

The software is jam packed full of features and my advice is too download the trial version and see for yourself exactly what it has to offer. The Unregistered Trial version of the software has all features enabled and is only limited by the fact you can only view the results of 10 bets at any one time.

Don’t worry if you find this a little over-whelming initially as the support is first class. There is also a very active forum where you will meet other like minded individuals who are also using TSM to increase their betting profits.

Rating 5/5 – This software is a MUST and you would be silly not to have this as another weapon in your armoury.

Firstly, I want to clearly state that this is not a system. The software does come pre loaded with a few systems but I have not verified the results and to be honest I simply deleted them as they were of no interest to myself.

It’s the software itself that I am so happy with as it makes my job reviewing and operating systems so much easier by keeping the system rules all in one place. No longer do I have to search for and open multiple PDF documents and e-books before trawling through them to search for the rules each morning.

I now simply copy the system rules into the Bet Notes application which then gives me instant access to the system rules in one place each morning. I just click on the system name and the rules are right there in front of me. There is no limit to the amount of systems you can add either which is great news.

Another feature I love is the quick links which gives me access to the websites I use most often to find system selections like the Racing Post Online and Betfair etc, this again again saves me a lot of time and effort.

There are many more excellent features as you will see on the sales page.

The software is very easy to operate and is Ad Free. You just enter the system details, click the tick button and your done.

There is a one off payment to receive the software but at just £15 it’s remarkable value for the time and effort it will save anyone who uses betting systems on a regular basis.

My only regret is that I didn’t find this software a few years ago!

Rating 5/5 – This software is a MUST and you would be silly not to have this as another weapon in your armoury.

False Favourites was written by Jonathan Burgess who appears in the Betfair academy as an accredited trainer. I requested a copy of False Favourites to review and Jonathan duly obliged in a timely and friendly manner which is always a positive for me. After all, if you’re confident in your product then why wouldn’t you want it reviewed?

The market is swamped with laying systems at present and in general most are not worth the paper they are written on. Due to this fact I wasn’t expecting False Favourites to be any different if I am totally honest.

I was pleasantly surprised however when I received the PDF file containing the system. Unlike the usual two a penny laying systems that I usually come across which are a few hundred words long this was totally different as False Favourites contains over 200 professionally written pages of information, statistics and general betting advice.

To be honest I was a little over whelmed by the amount of information at first but once I began reading I just couldn’t stop. I can see why Jonathan is an accredited Betfair trainer by the quality of the work he has put into this system. Everything is laid out exceptionally well from the basics to working examples and easy to understand screenshots are also included.

Even if your more into backing horses than laying them as I am there is so much information included that I would be shocked if you failed to gain a new knowledge after reading this publication.

Jonathan includes a full record of results on his website and to verify that they are genuine I asked him to proof his selections for a short period before racing began. Once again he duly obliged in a timely and friendly manner. The results were good with all selections losing as predicted and more importantly they all tallied with those updated on his website.

As you would expect from an accredited Betfair trainer you will also receive ongoing help if required from Jonathan which is a major bonus as most system authors cut contact once you have purchased there system. I wonder why?

What does surprise me is the incredibly low price he sells this for as in my opinion it is worth ten times this amount, if only for the time and effort that he has put into this.

UPDATE: False Favourites has been updated for 2009. The time it takes to find selections has been significantly reduced and the whole guide in general is much easier to read and understand. The new version of False Favourites is simply outstanding and should be purchased by first timers and those who purchased the previous version. If you Lay horses on the exchanges already or are looking at doing so then this is a MUST have publication.

Rating 5/5 – Highly recommended. The system works both short and long term without fail and in my opinion is one of the best genuine systems available.

Winners To Losers is a laying system that I have been personally using for some time now. What I like about this system is that it does not involve live betting markets. The selection process is very simple and selections can be found the evening before racing takes place which is ideal for those of you who work.

The manual takes you through the whole selection process from start to finish using screenshots from an actual day’s racing. Using this guide for reference, it will take even a novice no more than 5-10 minutes to pinpoint all selections on any given day.

The sales page claims a strike rate of around 90% and unlike other sales pages they actually list every selection in there results section win or lose. I can verify these results are 100% genuine and correct.

Based on the last 4 years results you can expect to find around 30 selections each month. The longest losing run is just 3 over the four years and the longest winning run is 38. This was no fluke either as the system has had many winning runs of 30+.

The staking section in the manual is very comprehensive and the author discusses different staking strategies and highlights the pros and cons of each one.

The selections you find can often start at big odds (average odds are around 11/2) but with very few losing bets the system does show good profits using level stakes at Betfair odds. These profits can be greatly increased using the included and recommended ‘bank’ staking plan. The ‘bank’ staking plan is not your usual progressive staking plan either which is a major positive.

The system set a new record of 40 consecutive winning lay bets from 30 October to 30 December 2008.

A starting bank of 50 points is required and in my opinion as with all systems is absolute essential before you begin using the system. The profit figures quoted on the website are based on £100 units so unless you have a £5000 starting bank you should not expect to win the profits stated. Your bank can grow fairly quickly though so start small and build your bank up is my advice.

The system is not the cheapest at £99 but I think that’s a good thing. If the author sold it cheaply he would sell hundreds of copies and the system would soon become useless due to everybody trying to lay the same horses.

If your looking for a decent laying system that actually makes long term level stakes profits at Betfair odds then I think £99 is a small price to pay.

UPDATE:

I’ve just received an email from Dave at Winners To Losers confirming they have now set up an email service. Anyone who has previously purchased the Winners To Losers System can now receive the selections direct by email for the equivalent of around 60p a day!

Plus, as an added bonus, when you subscribe you will also receive the selections from their yet to be published National Hunt version! Despite there being fewer selections with this version the results are also excellent. The first 35 selections I received produced 32 successful lay bets. The unsuccessful lay bets had Betfair sp’s of 4.08, 4.14 and 10.24 so a good profit was made overall.
