The service has been proofing selections to racing-index and from the 20th February 2009 to 10th May 2009 inclusive  there were 54 Successful selections from 71 advised which is a brilliant strike rate for a laying system considering the average odds were just 3.54. The profit during this period was almost 20 points using level stakes which is also very good for a laying system. The longest losing run was only 2 so I am certain the profits could have been increased even further using a staking plan.

Let’s get on to my live testing results.

To ensure an accurate review was given I used Betfair SP as this way no discrepancies could be found. I simply enterered my Lay bet at Betfair SP with maximum odds of 4.5.

During my tests it was noted that my results differed from those shown on the Lowlays website. The reason for this is that racing-index who proof there selections don’t take into account the maximum price rule whereas I did. My results are therefore deemed accurate.

Any selections that started above 4.5 are excluded from the results shown below WIN or LOSE.

Basically, you are laying odds on favourites as long as the Racing Post rule is met and the prices of the second and third favourites fall within certain price bands just before the start of the race. The initial selection process needs to be checked each morning and the final selection process is carried out shortly before each race.

The system recommends two staking plans which are both progressive/loss recovery. Staking Plan A is a Fibonacci recovery plan where stakes are increased whenever you lose a bet. Your stakes will go on increasing until your next win bet when you revert to your original stake. The author recommends a starting bank of 142 points for this staking plan.

Staking Plan B requires you to add the loss from a losing bet to your next stake and to continue doing so until you win when you return to your normal stake. The author recommends a starting bank of 150 points for this staking plan.

Staking plan A is the much more aggressive of the two but profits should always be higher using this plan.

From 57 bets over a period of  8 weeks, 36 were successful which is a 63% strike rate, The average price was 1.86, so even if using level stakes a profit would have been achieved.

Staking Plan A which is the more aggressive plan achieved a profit of 24.9 points whilst staking plan B showed a profit of 12.7 points.

Existing users of the system have commented favourably about its profitability which is always a good sign that a system does work and I also made a profit during testing. If your happy with small gains initially then this system is worth buying in my opinion.

The system deserved my 5 star rating as it made a level stakes profit just short of 100 points throughout the season using Betfair odds which followed on from the 60 points profit shown during the 2006/2007 season.

The 2008/2009 edition is now on sale and looks better than ever. This really is a system that the authors believe in and I have no reason to doubt them.

The manual consists of 77 pages and has 145 trainers to follow around the country (plus another 288 in the ‘Directors Cut’- an appendix at the back of the book).

The system is incredibly easy to follow and all selections can be found the evening before racing takes place.

You just check the Racing Post newspaper or on the internet at racingpost.com and find out where the race meetings are. Then, you look in Trainer Track Stats for the trainer(s) to follow at each track. Check the race cards in the paper to see if the trainers have any runners, and then see if they’re in the right type of race. If they are, and the odds are right, you’ve found yourself a qualifier. How hard was that?!

There are no silly staking plans as all selections are backed to win using level stakes.

Don’t expect every selection to win as in fact it’s the opposite with more losers than winners expected over the season. Don’t worry though as you can expect a steady flow of winners at odds such as 14/1, 12/1, 10/1, 8/1, 6/1, 4/1 & 2/1 ensuring long term profits.

If you don’t have time to find the selections yourself or want to ensure your backing the correct selections at all times then the author has this covered also.

Section One covers the basics of gambling and is about understanding percentages and the notions of value. The more experienced punters will almost certainly skip this section.

Section Two covers the basics of laying and explains what laying is and how to use the betting exchanges. Even though I consider myself an experienced punter I still found this section quite interesting.

Section Three covers the racing post website and how to understand it. The section walks you through the race card and the postdata table and also shows you how to read a horses previous form.

Section Four is the system itself and shows you how to find a losing horse. There is a list of five primary warning signs that should be looked for to suggest a horse will lose it’s race. You will also learn how to evaluate the opposition before placing your bet. It’s no good laying a horse if the opposition is as bad or worse as itself after all. There is also a list of secondary warning signs which are useful but considered not as strong as the primary warning signs. There are slightly separate rules for both the Flat and National Hunt but working examples are shown for each code at the end of the section.

Part Five is all about maximising profits and teaches you the importance of betting banks and what prices to lay the selections found at.

This system may look a bit daunting when you first read it but be patient and just read it through again. You will get the hang of it after you have read and digested it. This one won’t be for everyone, because it involves about 30 minutes effort to find the horses to oppose. It will give you the tools to select the races but it is down to you which horses you choose to go with. Access to live betting is not required which is a bonus for those of you who work.

The system is not mechanical as stated above and different users can find different selections. Although I rate the system highly and have used it with great effect I asked two of my readers to put the system through it’s paces and send me there selections each day.

To use the system you need to devote between 10 and 60 minutes daily between Sunday and Thursday, anytime between 11.00 TO 18.30 GMT.

The selection process is amazingly simple and will take only minutes to learn.

Although the staking plan is a progression plan it comes with a twist. Unlike other progression staking plans where your stakes get so high that you simply have to stop betting. The staking plan allows you limit your total stakes on a whole series of bets each day.

Regular visitors to my website know how much I hate stop at a winner systems with progressive staking plans which is what the favourites phenomenon system basically is. I found this system a lot different however because the system itself is based on solid statistics but more importantly the staking plan has safe guards built in which normal stop at a winner systems fail to implement.

As the system suggests you will be backing certain favorites so you will need to monitor the live betting markets if you are to use the system correctly. You will need to commit around 30 – 45 minutes of your time before racing starts to work out if you should be betting or not on any particular day as the rules suggest. If it is a betting day you will also need to commit anything from a few minutes up to several hours depending how the system performs and how quickly a winner is found.

The staking plan has three levels and it is suggested you begin with level one. The aim of all three staking plans is to make a profit of 1 point each day.

You can potentially win more money using level three as the strike rate is much higher but the losses are much bigger and one losing day can mean a loss of 30 points which is 30 days profits. The maximum loss on level one is 8 points or 8 days profits and the maximum loss on level two is 15 points or 15 days profits. Once you choose a level it is suggested you stick with that level for at least 3 months before changing.

The recommended bank to start is 100 points for level one, 150 points for level two and 200 points for level three. If you plan to try and win £10 per day then a bank of £1000 is required to start using the system on level one.

Matt has just introduced a new bot which can automate the system but I have had a lot of reports of teething problems with this and I feel I should warn everyone. I am not a fan of bots for this type of system full stop. In theory it sounds great that you can set the bot and go to work letting it do all the work for you. What happens if your PC crashes? What happens if your electric turns off? I would personally stick to the manual way or use the bot under close supervision at all times to avoid the above.

I received the system itself which I found professionally written and very easy to read and understand. When you buy the football maestro you also get all the selections sent by email at no cost and too be honest it was these I was more interested in.

The selections I received during the month were truly outstanding. Every email received was very professional with an in depth analysis of all matches advised. The bets were categorized into official bets and unofficial bets. I found with the official bets that were usually always odds on, I’m not complaining however as they just kept winning time after time and usually very easily. The strike rate of around 80% tallies with the claims made by the author which is always a positive.
