This is and will be one of the easiest reviews I have done.  16 points profit on a lay system with 2 to 3 qalifyers a day, normally one final selection and 3 losing …

Football Fibonacci – Final Review

Submitted by admin on October 14, 2009 – 1:00 PMNo Comment

Football FibonacciI was kindly given a copy of this system to review by the author. This system is based on laying the away teams under a certain set of rules. The actual method is fairly straightforward and should be easy to use for most punters. There are no proofed results for the system which was a little disappointing.

However the author does state that the longest losing run was 6, then you reset the staking plan to the beginning which is based on the Fibonacci number sequence . I don’t intend to bore everyone with the Fibonacci theory, but the staking system would look something like this :

1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55

Basically you add the two previous numbers to obtain the next in the sequence i.e. 1+ 2 = 3 and so on. Therefore on a losing run of 6 you would actually have lost 1+2+3+5+8+13 = 32 points of your bank, you then reset back to 1. This is similar to increasing your stakes on roulette in the hope that your number will come up eventually.

The problem with this type of staking plan is that your bank is wiped out before you can recover and actually get into profit. One plus point for the system is that the lay bets will all be odds on and your liability will be less than your stake. This system might be useful in conjunction with another system such as “Betting Against The Odds”, to identify backing against the favourite, which is probably a safer option.

Rating 2/5 In my opinion a system that you could have a bit of fun with for small stakes, but personally I wouldn’t use the staking plan in winning or losing mode..

More recent tests.

Dates of test: 23rd October 2009 to 23rd November 2009

Qualifying Selections: 30 (1 postponed, 1 abandoned)

Winners: 11

Losers: 17

Level Stakes P/L: -2.65

P/L Using Staking Plan: 1.02 points

Return on investment: 0.016% (-0.088 at level stakes)

Have found the selections less onerous to find during the week than at weekends, due to only one coupon during the week, rather than three at the weekends. Even accounting for this, I have found it has been taking no more than 15 to 20 minutes to do the research. As the manual makes no guidelines, I have been researching the selections fairly early in the morning, around 10am, and obtaining the odds at an hour to kick off. The manual was straightforward to read, but needs to advise what to do when two selections take place at the same time (for example when one match finishes after the next has started – I increased the stake on the next available selection). I was unable to view any selections for either 20th or 21st November, as I was away for the weekend. The system itself has been easy enough to use, but has not produced the profits that the staking plan would have expected. I cannot say that the system has either passed or failed the test, as it has not really made a profit or made a loss.
