The Inside Rail

Submitted by admin on May 16, 2009 – 12:23 PMNo Comment

The Inside RailI received an email a while back regarding www.theinsiderail.co.uk tipping service and the fact that their 30 day no obligation free trial was not exactly as described.

I received another email today which is almost identical in that it describes the same problem almost word for word.

It reads as follows:

“Dear Iain,  Have you ever had any adverse reports about ” theinsiderail”?  Not about the tips they give but the feed back on email.  They offered me a 30 day free trial but although they produced really good results I did not feel that I could afford to start a new bank so I decided to cancel my trial. Since that email I have sent 4 emails; two to the cancellation address and in an attempt to get some reaction 3 to the information address.  All have been ignored. I have checked and the addresses are all correct. Not only that but they have taken another months subscription. and still they are not replying to my emails. I’ve had to contact both Netbanx and my own bank to put a stop to the subscriptions. I expect that they think I’m trying some fiddle I’m not.”

As far as the tips are concerned I can’t really comment but there is no proof of results on the website and they only appear to show a list of winning bets.

I did find a discussion on a forum about the service in general which can be read here

I think it is fair to warn others of the problems and would love to hear from anyone who has encountered similar problems or from anyone who can vouch for the service.

Update:

Another complaint as follows:

“I took out their 30 day trial in January and I am still trying to cancel it. I have sent an e-mail from 4 different e-mail addresses every 3 days, yet they continue to ignore me. I have contacted Netbanx twice and recieved no reply. Please tell me how you made them stop. It would be most appreciated.”

“Dear Ian,

I’ve just read the report on your site, re: the Inside Rail. I’ve just written an article myself about the very same service, which I will be publishing shortly.

I signed up to their trial, many months ago and subsequently cancelled it, mainly due to the fact that it is a very poor service! I continued to receive tips from them however and after many more emails, eventually received a reply stating that they had cancelled my subscription but were still sending me advices ‘as an act of goodwill’.

Imagine my surprise, when 3 months later they took out a subscription fee from my bank account! I emailed them on 3 different occasions, asking for explanations and received no replies, so I emailed Netbanx, who basically didn’t want to know and advised me to contact Inside Rail directly!

One morning, I received another tip, which came with a brief review of the race. As if by magic, it was a complete replica of a tip I’d received from another tipping service that I use. I immediately emailed them, accusing them of ‘ripping off’ other services and was absolutely amazed, when I received a reply within 30 seconds!

I replied to this email, asking why he could reply that quickly to one email and completely ignore all of the others I’d sent him previously, to which he replied that he hadn’t received them.

I therefore emailed him the 3 previous letters there and then. He replied, stating that it was the first time that he seen them and that he would ‘look into it for me’.

Needless to say, I’ve heard nothing since and this was about 3 weeks ago. Rest assured that I will be handing the matter over to the police should I have any further problems with them.

Hope this is of some help to your readers.

Regards
Andy Merrikin”

“I too had problems getting The Inside Rail to cancel my subscription.  I sent cancellation emails 3 weeks into my trial as all of the tips had lost, and I became very suspicious of their claims for previous results.  I therefore should have paid them nothing, but they took 3 monthly subscriptions before they finally actioned the cancellation.  My emails requesting a refund have never been responded to.”

“Another for your inside rail collection, Apart from anything else the claims of 10 winning months are way off mark, The threat of the banks security dept , done the trick for me and refund of £70 was recieved,
Stay away from this service for more than one reason.”

“Hi Iain I’m not surprised to see all the adverse comments on the Inside Rail..I think a more apt title would be The Wayward Snail..I had dealings with them 4-5 years ago..I still get all their BS claiming fantastic winning runs,,but my experience was long losing runs,,I gave up in the end,,I was in New Zealand at the time, and sadly there was no internet banking then,so they actually got 4 extra payments out of me,(2 in the one month)before I could stop it..Then came the hassel of trying to get back their mis-appropriated takings, which after a long battle I never got..So your doing a good thing warning your clientelle off, because not only are their advices a load of crap,,but their methods of doing business leave a lot to be desired..Its a shame the Powers That Be,stopped sending people like these to Australia..he he he..Keep up the good work ”
