The Betting Vault – Final Review

Submitted by admin on March 25, 2009 – 1:49 PMNo Comment

The Betting VaultThe Betting Vault is a system based selection service and selections are sent by email on a daily basis. The selections are backed as straight WIN bets or PLACE only bets depending on the odds of each selection so access to the live betting markets is required.

Each selection is backed to win 1 point using a loss recovery plan. You have the choice to carry any losses over to the next day (full loss recovery) or start fresh each day. You are also advised to apply a stop loss with which you are comfortable with and the results are shown using 5, 10 and 15 points.

I prefer to start fresh each day and my results are based using the MAX stop loss of 15 points. Basically if at anytime my losses are 15 points or more then I stop betting for the day altogether.

I was emailed very early during my tests as follows:

“I regularly read your reviews and appreciate your efforts to keep the punters clear of rip off merchants.

My names ??? and I have run a few mainly free betting sites for the last few years and also take the same stance as you regarding giving correct information and advice with my betting systems.

Firstly I don’t want this to come across as a bitter email but more as a warning to you about the betting vault that’s being currently heavily promoted by the usual people created by a Ian Morris.

This system is being promoted falsely and the reason I know is that its my system that I created a year ago. Ian Morris was my customer for a month last November.

He had no idea how to work this system until I explained it to him! He actually began sending me his tips “which were not very good” with my system telling me he wanted me to promote it on my site I refused of course as I already run it free as Win & Place on my site.

Now the point Im trying to make is this, I don’t care he took the system I made and sold it, however they are promoting it with 2 years of fake or back fitted results.

Sounds odd having 2 yrs results as he only had the system from the back end of last year and I had to explain how to use it!

Now they may make money with it then so be it, but the way they falsely promote isn’t right in my opinion.

They are charging a monthly sub of around £50 and I actually give this system free as part of my lay tips offer.

I don’t want to get into any wrangling with the people who are selling this but thought you would be well warned if your customers ask about it and I prefer to remain unnamed in any warning you give.

cheers and keep up the good work”

I asked Ian myself to comment on this and he said ” My back tested results were achieved by using MACROS in excel and I wouldn’t hide this fact! The website has not actually been written by myself I wouldn’t know how to! If anything requires changing then I will ensure it is done. This is the first time I’ve ever released a system, I have made a few for my own use and am currently working on one in testing.”

Ian also stated that he didn’t want to get into any wrangling either.

I decided to put the system to the test my self as the proof is in the pudding after all.

I tested the service over an 8 week period and everything was going well to begin with. As with all stop loss services though the inevitable losing run came and wiped away the profits previously made. During my 8 week period I hit the maximum stop loss on three occasions and my betting bank was up and down like a fiddlers elbow.

The total Loss over the 8 week period was around 10 points.

Towards the end of my test I got an email from Ian saying changes were being made to the selection process and that he was making changes to how the past results were being shown.

The service is promoted as a winning service yet when results don’t go as planned changes are made. Who’s to say they won’t change again when another losing run is encountered. This really rattles me and is something I now see all too often.

Another thing that really rattled me is the fact that Ian is happy to promote further unproven systems to his clients and members of his mailing list to earn extra affiliate commissions.

Rating: 2/5 – The system may have some merit but in my opinion it is not reliable enough to use in the long-run and is one to avoid.
