Betalay – Final Review
The vendors of the Betalay horse racing system makes some very bold claims on there sales page and at the time of writing they claim to have made £195.000 over the last 8 years using £25 stakes.
The results have apparently been verified but by whom is unknown.
The system itself is extremely simple with only 3 simple rules needed to find a qualifier. Selections are found on a very regular basis but to make the profits claimed would require you to be sat in front of your PC all day unless you use some sort of betting bot to find the selections for you.
So at first glance you will almost certainly think that’s brilliant. I will get a bot to do the work and make an average of £2000 per month as claimed for doing nothing.
Bingo! The sales page has done just what it is supposed to do and you click the buy it now button. I have no doubt that thousands have done exactly that and why wouldn’t you if the claims are genuine?
Let me tell you why this system should be avoided at all costs.
The results shown are based using the starting price with zero commission. Anybody who uses the betting exchanges should know that if your laying horses you will have to lay at around 20% above the starting price and will also have to pay commission on your winnings.
I ran the system through a database of past results and the results told a different story to those claimed. Laying every selection the system has found at 20% above the starting price and paying 5% commission over the last 5 years (2003-2007) would have shown a loss of 765 points or £19.125 using £25 stakes.
To be fair you will be able to lay at odds closer to the starting price than the 20% mentioned above and may even make a small profit using the system. Even if a profit is shown you should only expect to make around a 2% return on your investment. This means that to make the £2000 a month quoted on the website would mean you would stake around £100,000 during the month.
Unless you have a sizeable starting bank this system in my opinion is not worth using when you take into account the time required to run it.
So yet again we have a system that promises so much but fails to deliver.
Rating 1/5 – Very poor in my opinion. Not reliable enough to use in the long-run and one to avoid.
